What the estimate includes

The result combines unpaid tuition for the first 12 months, pro-rated living costs for the selected period, pro-rated minimum schooling costs and location-based travel guidance for every accompanying applicant. If a course is shorter than 12 months, use its total fees; otherwise enter the first 12 months of tuition and subtract documented payments.

Financial Evidence Checks

  • Show genuine access to the funds, not only an account balance.
  • Explain the source of recent or large deposits.
  • Provide relationship and identity evidence for a financial supporter.
  • Use official evidence for loans, scholarships or government support.
  • Include all accompanying family living, travel and schooling costs.
  • Deduct paid tuition only when a receipt or CoE supports the payment.
  • Research actual costs because visa benchmarks are minimum amounts.

Annual income alternative

In some cases, an applicant may provide official government evidence that their parents or partner earned at least AUD 87,856 in the previous 12 months, or AUD 102,500 where family members accompany the student. Bank statements or an employer letter alone do not satisfy this annual-income evidence method.
